Hello, I’m Deborah, born in Canada but originally from Wales and brought up and educated in England. Before arriving in China I worked for international companies and schools in Austria, Japan, Colombia, Germany and Spain. I hold a BA (Hons) degree in German with Italian from the University of London, a Master’s degree in Translating, German with Dutch from the University of Kent at Canterbury and a Post Graduate Certificate in Secondary Education, German with Spanish from the University of York, England. Most recently I have been teaching high level English (Cambridge Advanced and Proficiency Certificate), MYP Language B, IB Diploma German and English and PYP German support. HWIS is a small, friendly IB school where the students and staff are a joy to know and work with.
