Deutsche Internationale Schule Changchun(DISC) joined in HWIS as German Section.

New teaching area was established for German Section.

School appoints Mr. Fabio Corvaglia as 4th Principal.

5th Diploma class graduation.

17% of graduates have been accepted by University of Edinburgh (Current Year World Ranking 17th).

September 2013 

Authorized to be a Cambridge Test Center for English.

June 2013

Accreditation for the Primary Years Program passed. 

HWIS successfully receives authorization from the IBO.

4th Diploma class graduation.

20% of graduates have been accepted by McGill University (Current Year World Ranking 18th).

New teaching area was established for MYP and DP.

HWIS first Chinese graduates; 2 students were admitted by top 20 universities. 

A student was accepted by McGill University (Current Year World Ranking 17th in that year), 

and jumped to Sophomore Year.

Accreditation for the Middle Years Program passed.

School appoints Mr. Bryan Manditsch as 3rd Principal.

2nd Diploma class graduation. A total of 22 universities world-wide offer places to the 4 graduates.

HWIS wins the international award for excellence ISO9001:2008.

HWIS becomes an official SAT testing center.

1st Diploma class graduation. 

Two students are awarded full 4 year scholarship to S. P. Jain- School of Business.

The Ministry of Education grants the final approval for the opening of HWIS.

Fujian Provincial Government Approval and Licensing of  Howard International School as a government-authorized international school. Dr. Mark Uerkvitz is pointed as 1st Princial.

Mr. Daniel Chou and Ms. Irene Chu established Howard International School.
